Las Quebradas comes from an exceptional vineyard located at 500 meters above sea level, where the Monastrell grows in stony soils poor in organic matter. The traditional vineyard, without irrigation support and formed in a glass, is treated with environmentally friendly techniques, using compost from organic sheep and maintaining a zero waste approach. The production of this wine is meticulous, seeking to extract the unique personality of the land. After aging for 16 months in Allier French oak barrels, the result is a wine with great freshness, minerality and a genuine character from the area.

Tasting note

View: Violet-red color with garnet tones, medium-high layer, clean and bright.

Nose: Intense aromas of black fruits, Mediterranean herbs such as thyme and lavender, with balsamic and mineral notes. The passage through the barrel provides smoky, coffee and caramel nuances.

Path: Fresh and sweet entry, with a predominance of ripe black fruits. Polished and balanced tannins, with a chocolate and coffee finish. Good structure and a medium-long aftertaste.

Recommended pairing

The Enrique Mendoza Las Quebradas is ideal to accompany red meats, game dishes, traditional stews and cured cheeses. Its freshness and minerality make it a perfect choice to enjoy the richness of Mediterranean flavors.
